Bar Nine
The ground floor bar is the reason half our guests found us. Twenty seats at a long steel counter, low light, loud enough to feel alive and quiet enough to hear the person next to you. Hotel guests get a seat held until 9pm, just tell the desk.

The roof, floor nine
Up the last flight of stairs: string lights, a short spritz list, and the whole harbor in front of you. Guests go straight up. Everyone else waits at the lift, so on a warm Saturday, being a guest is the shortcut.

Fridays in the lobby
Every Friday from 8pm to midnight, we push the sofas to the walls and the lobby turns into the best living room party in the Harbor District. It winds down in time for the ninth floor to sleep.

Bar Nine sets up a second station in the lobby, so nobody queues for long.

The rest of the week
By day the lobby is a coffee bar with long tables, plugs everywhere and wifi that holds up on a video call. The front desk is staffed all night, stores bags after checkout and keeps a drawer of phone chargers for anyone who forgot theirs.

Booked the Small because it said 14 square meters and it was exactly that. Tiny, spotless, and the best shower I have had in a hotel.
We came for the room and stayed in the bar. Ask for the Last Train and then walk to the station after. It is a four minute stumble.
The neighbourhood list is not marketing. Low Tide, the ramen place and the Saturday market were all exactly as good as they said.
Friday in the lobby felt like a friend’s party in a very good flat. Corner room on the ninth floor, woke up to the harbor.
