Four jobs in five finish at the price on the screen
Here is every reason the fifth one does not. All five are agreed with you on the day, out loud, before anyone picks up a tool.
1.You need us before 7am or after 7pm
Emergencies only, and the fixed price plus $95. Agreed on the phone before a van moves, never added afterwards.
2.The blockage is past your boundary
A camera survey is $140. We stop, show you the screen and let you decide before the camera goes down the line.
3.The part stopped being made
Labour stays at the fixed price. We photograph the fitting, send you the price of the part, and order nothing until you reply.
4.There is no isolation valve on an upstairs run
Draining the system down adds $85. We show you the bare pipe first, because plenty of houses already have a valve nobody knew about.
5.The leak is behind plaster or under a floor
We stop at the $95 diagnosis and hand you a written price before anything is cut open. Nothing is opened on a guess.
Nothing is ever added after the job
If we did not say the number before we started, it is not on the bill. That rule has cost us money on maybe forty jobs since 2014, and we have kept it.

A basin mixer in Saltcott that had been losing about nine litres a day. Booked at 21:15 on the Sunday for the 9am window, finished inside the hour, $140 as printed.

A ceramic cartridge worn through on the hot side. The homeowner had been turning it off with a cloth for five months.

The no-show policy, ours as well as yours
A two-hour window only works if both sides keep it. So both sides have a penalty written down, and ours is bigger than yours.
If you cannot be there
- Move or cancel free up to two hours before your window, from the link in your text.
- Inside two hours it is $45, because that window has gone for the day.
- Nobody home: the plumber waits 15 minutes, then it is $95 and we rebook you at no extra charge.
- You are never charged for work we did not do, whatever the reason we could not do it.
If we are the late ones
- Miss the end of your window and $40 comes off the fixed price, without you having to ask.
- Miss the day entirely and the next visit costs you nothing in labour.
- If we have to move you, you choose the new window before it goes back on this page.
- We have hit the window on 96% of jobs since January (sample figure).

Can I really book without speaking to anyone?
Yes. Of the 412 jobs we did last month, 71% were booked on this page without a phone call. You pick the job, you pick the window, you type your address, and a text confirms it. The phone is still there, and a person in Calderwick answers it from 7am to 7pm, but nothing on this site needs you to use it.
What if it turns out to be a bigger job than the one I picked?
The plumber stops and shows you before touching anything beyond what you booked, then writes a fixed price for the extra work. You can say no. If the job you booked still got done, you pay that price and nothing else. If nothing could be done at all that day, you pay nothing and we rebook you.
Is $185 really the whole cost of a blocked drain?
Inside the house, yes. That covers the visit, up to 90 minutes, rods, a jetting head if the rods will not shift it, and a camera look down the line before we pack up. A drain past your boundary is $245, and a full camera survey is $140 on top, which you are told about and agree to before we run it.
What happens if it is two in the morning?
Our windows run 7am to 7pm every day of the year, holidays included. Outside those hours we take genuine emergencies on (555) 014-7000, at the fixed price plus $95. A burst pipe, a ceiling coming down or no water at all is an emergency. A dripping tap at midnight is a 7am slot, and we will say so.
Do you charge a callout fee, or have a minimum charge?
Neither. The price on this page is the whole price: the visit, the labour however long it takes, the standard parts and the clean-up. A $120 isolation valve costs $120, even though sending a van for it barely covers the diesel.
Who actually turns up, and what is covered afterwards?
One of eleven plumbers across six vans, all employed by us and none subcontracted, all background checked, all named with a photo in your text. You get two years on our labour, the manufacturer warranty on any part we supply, and a photographed report emailed the same evening.
