(555) 014-2019How often does a septic tank need pumping?
Most family homes need it every two to four years, depending on how many people live there and how big the tank is. A 1,000 gallon tank with four people fills in about two and a half years. The calculator at the top uses the same table we use, and we never leave it longer than five years so the lids and baffles get looked at.
What is included in the $375?
Finding the tank, uncovering lids down to 18 inches, pumping every compartment fully, checking baffles, lids and the effluent filter, a written report with photos, and leaving the lawn as we found it. It covers tanks up to 1,250 gallons. There is no trip charge, no dig fee and no Saturday surcharge.
Do I need to be home?
No. As long as we can reach the tank and the gate is unlocked, we can do the whole visit while you are at work. We text you when we arrive, when we finish, and send the report and photos the same afternoon. You can pay by card over the phone or leave a check.
How do the reminders work, and do they cost anything?
They are free. After each pump we set your next due date from the tank report. You get one text a month before and one the week before. Reply 1 for the first open morning or 2 for an afternoon and it is booked. Reply STOP any time and they end. If you sell the house, we can pass the schedule to the new owners.
What if my tank is bigger than 1,250 gallons or hard to reach?
Bigger tanks are $375 plus $30 for every extra 100 gallons, and the calculator shows the price before you book. Lids deeper than 18 inches take longer to uncover, so we quote that on the day before we start. Most customers with deep lids have us fit risers once, which makes every visit after that quicker and cheaper.
